DESCRIPTION:Night Hike through Sodalis Nature Preserve "Bats Are Coming Back" 7 p.m. Aug. 23 at Sodalis Nature Preserve. Not only do birds begin migrating in August but so do the bats that overwinter in the Lime Kiln Mine at Sodalis. We'll see if the number of bats we see at some of the mine openings has increased since the summer. The full program is about two hours and covers a 2-mile paved loop with a steep incline. Participants have the option to return sooner as desired. These programs are led by Hannibal Parks & Recreation's Nature Interpreter Gale Rublee and members of the Mississippi Hills Missouri Master Naturalist chapter. Program are free to participants but registration is required at: www.hannibalparks.recdesk.com/Community/Program
